No David!

Hello families,

We are into our fourth week of school and settling into all of our routines and classroom expectations. The children are learning to respect our learning space and each other by sharing, taking turns and using polite words such as 'please' and 'thank you'.

On Monday we read a story called "David Goes to School" by David Shannon. In the story a young boy has trouble remembering to follow the rules of his classroom. The children love listening to the story as well as shaking their fingers at the character saying loudly, "NO DAVID!". 

As we read the story the children are reminded of simple rules in our classroom...

What does David need to remember when he goes to school? 

-Share (Rayhan)

-Don't throw things (Muhibillah)

-Walk in the classroom (Abdullah)

-Don't push and don't hit (Hiba)

-Be gentle with the books (Roman)

-No yelling (Azra)

-Don't throw somebody's snack (Khaliq)

-No colouring on the desk (Abdullah)

-No kicking (Faseeh)
